Hi, I'm Lars.

Cool that you ended up here with me.

I live in Amsterdam and travel quite a bit between Amsterdam and Berlin. I am - at least when it comes to my free time - a creative mind, I like to be out and about and I can often be found in the scene or in one or two kinky clubs (especially when I'm in Berlin).

When I found out about my infection in 2016, it was more than a coincidence. I had recently had a bad flu, after which my family doctor actually just wanted to “check my blood”.

At that time, HIV was not completely unknown to me. I was somewhat informed about it and even had a few friends who were positive. Still, of course, it was like a slap in the face. Suddenly it was no longer just "I know someone..." but suddenly it affected me and was in the middle of my life without me being able to do anything or having any control over it.

I now see my HIV infection a little differently. All of this has just become a part of me and no longer plays a big role in my everyday life. However, on my way to where I am today, I met a lot of great people and had new experiences.

It helped me a lot, especially at the beginning, that I was able to talk to friends (mentioned above) and actually ask them anything that concerned me. And that's exactly what I want to offer you.

You're not alone. To be honest, there are quite a few of us :-) So no matter what questions or problems are on your mind at the moment: contact me and together we can definitely bring a lot more clarity to it, for example over coffee.

A small disclaimer: My center of life (work and everyday life) is in Amsterdam, but since my partner lives in Berlin, I travel there very regularly. That's why I can only offer you real meetings (really "live and in color") in Berlin to a limited extent (unless you end up in Amsterdam) - but I'm happy to do that. Apart from that, I am always happy to be available to you digitally (via email, chat and video call).
