Johanna
Johanna, born in 1989, straight, positive since 2012
I live with my husband (HIV negative) in the rural area of Bielefeld, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In 2012 I completed an internship at Aidshilfe Paderborn for my social work studies. There I really dealt with HIV for the first time and took an HIV test, which was positive.
The diagnosis shocked me very much, but I immediately found a lot of support and support in the AIDS service. It quickly became clear to me: I can lead a good life with HIV and I don't have to change my plans and dreams.
I decided to become a buddy in order to offer other people the support that I was able to experience myself.
Today I work and live my life healthily and the way I like it. My HIV infection accompanies me, but it hardly plays a role in my everyday life. I would be happy to tell you about my experiences.
