This is Daniel from Budapest, and I’ve been positive for 15 years. I’ve made many experiences with HIV over the years: I was discreet for a long time, very selective with whom I trusted, and often felt ashamed.
Today I live quite openly and unencumbered, and have participated in several publicity campaigns, both at work and in civil society. I’ve learnt a lot from it, and have gained strength and confidence from this former trauma.

Friends would describe me as open and talkative, if sometimes a bit insecure. It’s all a work in progress (o: In addition to HIV, I’m happy to share my experiences with: Migration, Mental health, Addiction, Vegan nutrition.

I’m half German, half Hungarian, and have been living in Germany since mid-2020. I spent 14 years in England and Ireland before that. I’m currently doing Communications at a start-up.
